Corridor Communications Inc. (trade name: CCI Wireless) is a broadband data (internet) and voice (phone) provider for rural Albertans. Rocky Gas Co-op Ltd. is a 7% shareholder in C.C.I.
The infrastructure is currently complete, making Corridor Communications the third largest owner of rural carrier quality towers in Alberta behind
only Telus and Rogers. This is a province wide network, and CCI currently serves several thousand customers in central Alberta.
With the construction phase complete CCI is currently concentrating on sales, marketing, and network integrity, which it was unable to do while in the construction phase. Now that the grant obligations have been fulfilled concerning tower builds, that grant money is being channelled back into CCI.
With the focus on increased sales in internet and phone service CCI is determined to be in a leader in communications service in rural Alberta. Currently CCI has a 6300 customer base and is growing at a rate of 300-400 customers per month.
